The City of Bridgeport Food Policy Council (BFPC) is a voluntary advisory council of Bridgeport. BFPC is working to integrate all agencies of the city in a common effort to improve the availability of safe and nutritious foods at reasonable prices for all residents, particularly those in need. BFPC addresses issues concerning our local and regional food systems and their connection to individuals, communities, businesses, the environment, and local government.

BFPC Mission: Every Bridgeport resident has easy access to, skills to prepare, and desire to consume healthy, mostly local foods. Bridgeport food access is driven by Bridgeport residents and opportunities for livable wage job creation.

The Council meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday and all meetings are open to the public. Meetings rotate to locations around Bridgeport, so check their Facebook page for details on upcoming meeting locations.
